Our Un-Equal Length (UEL) Performance Manifold has been specifically designed to give the Nissan Micra K11 a deeper, more aggressive and deliberately uneven exhaust character.

Unlike a conventional equal-length performance manifold, the UEL design intentionally uses mismatched primary runner lengths. This changes the way the exhaust pulses arrive at the collector, creating the distinctive uneven exhaust rhythm commonly associated with boxer-engined vehicles.

What is a UEL Manifold?

UEL stands for Un-Equal Length.

On a conventional performance manifold, considerable effort is normally made to keep corresponding exhaust runners similar in length. This helps control the timing at which exhaust pulses from each cylinder reach the collector.

With our UEL manifold, the unequal runner lengths are completely intentional.

The paired primary runners are deliberately mismatched, altering the spacing and timing of the exhaust pulses as they travel through the manifold.

The result is a more pronounced, uneven exhaust beat with considerably more character than a conventional equal-length K11 manifold.

Simple: the sound.

Our conventional K11 4-2-1 manifold is the more traditional choice where the priority is a broad, predictable performance-oriented exhaust design.

The UEL version is for customers who want something different.

By deliberately manipulating the exhaust pulse timing, the UEL manifold produces a more aggressive and uneven exhaust note, with characteristics reminiscent of the distinctive sound traditionally associated with unequal-length boxer-engine exhaust systems.

The final sound will vary depending on the engine, catalytic converter, centre section, silencers and the remainder of the exhaust system.

4-2-1 UEL Configuration

Although the primary runners are intentionally unequal in length, the manifold retains a 4-2-1 configuration, with four primary runners merging into two before combining into a single outlet.

The key difference compared with our conventional 4-2-1 manifold is that this version prioritises the character and pulse pattern of the exhaust note through its deliberately mismatched runner lengths.

If your primary goal is conventional naturally aspirated performance, our standard 4-2-1 manifold may be the more appropriate choice.

If your priority is making your K11 sound considerably more distinctive, this is the one.

⚠️ NOT Air Conditioning Compatible

This manifold is NOT compatible with vehicles retaining the factory air conditioning system.

Due to the routing required to achieve the unequal-length primary design, sufficient clearance is not available for the factory A/C arrangement.

Please check your vehicle specification before ordering.

Catalytic Converter Removal

Installation of this manifold removes the factory catalytic converter.

The supplied link pipe allows the manifold to connect into the remainder of the exhaust system, but the original manifold-mounted catalytic converter is no longer retained.

Depending on the vehicle, local emissions requirements and applicable legislation, removal of the catalytic converter may make the vehicle unsuitable or illegal for use on public roads and may result in failure of an MOT, TÜV or equivalent vehicle inspection.

Road Use Notice

This product is not intended for use on public highways and is intended for off-road, motorsport, competition, development or testing applications where permitted by applicable law.

Professional installation by a suitably qualified technician is recommended.

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from physical impact, misuse, incorrect installation, inadequate exhaust support, excessive movement or stress, modification, ceramic coating, exhaust wrap or other external causes.
