Nissan Micra K11 4-1 Performance Exhaust Manifold

Designed and manufactured by GizFab, our Nissan Micra K11 4-1 Performance Exhaust Manifold is the higher-RPM focused option within our K11 manifold range.

Where a 4-2-1 configuration is generally selected for a broader spread of torque and response, the 4-1 design is intended to favour exhaust gas behaviour higher in the RPM range, making it particularly well suited to track, competition and higher-revving naturally aspirated builds.

Manufactured from stainless steel, precision TIG welded and fully backpurged for a clean, reliable internal weld finish.

Why a 4-1 Manifold?

A 4-1 manifold brings all four primary runners together into a single collector.

Compared with a 4-2-1 arrangement, a correctly designed 4-1 configuration is generally more focused towards higher engine speeds, where exhaust gas velocity, pulse timing and scavenging become increasingly important.

In simple terms:

4-2-1 = Broader Low/Mid-Range Characteristics

4-1 = Greater Emphasis on Higher-RPM Performance

For this reason, the 4-1 is particularly suited to K11s built around:

• Higher-RPM Naturally Aspirated Builds

• Modified Cylinder Heads
• Other Supporting Engine Modifications

This doesn't mean a 4-1 automatically produces more power than a 4-2-1 in every application.

Actual results depend on the complete engine specification, exhaust system, camshafts, intake system, ECU calibration and operating RPM range.

The correct manifold should be selected around how the engine is intended to be used.

Stainless Steel Construction

The manifold is manufactured from stainless steel, providing excellent durability and corrosion resistance compared with the original ageing exhaust components.

Each manifold is TIG welded for precise control over the finished assembly.

Fully Backpurged

The manifold is fully backpurged during TIG welding.

When stainless steel is welded without adequate shielding on the inside of the tube, the reverse side of the weld can heavily oxidise.

Backpurging introduces shielding gas to the inside of the manifold during welding, helping produce a cleaner internal weld and reducing excessive oxidation.

For a performance exhaust manifold where exhaust gases travel directly across the internal welds, we consider this an important part of proper stainless fabrication.

Direct Replacement Design

The manifold is designed to replace the original K11 exhaust manifold and is supplied with the required link pipe to connect into the vehicle's exhaust system.

As with any aftermarket exhaust component, vehicles with unusual engine conversions, modified exhaust systems or previous exhaust repairs should be checked for compatibility before installation.

⚠️ NOT COMPATIBLE WITH AIR CONDITIONING

This manifold is NOT compatible with K11 models retaining the factory air-conditioning system.

The 4-1 runner configuration occupies the space required by components of the factory A/C arrangement.

If retaining air conditioning is essential, please select one of our compatible alternative manifold designs where applicable.

Link Pipe Included

A suitable link pipe is included with the manifold.

This allows the manifold to integrate into the K11 exhaust arrangement without requiring the customer to fabricate the complete connection from the collector rearwards.

Fitment should still be checked before final tightening, particularly where the vehicle has a non-standard or previously modified exhaust system.

⚠️ FACTORY CATALYTIC CONVERTER REMOVAL

Installing this manifold removes the factory catalytic converter from its original exhaust manifold arrangement.

Removal of an emissions-control device may make the vehicle unsuitable or illegal for public-road use depending on the laws applicable in your country or region.

The vehicle may also fail applicable emissions or roadworthiness testing.

No Guaranteed Power Figure

A performance exhaust manifold is one component of the complete engine system.

While the 4-1 configuration is intended to support higher-RPM performance, we do not guarantee a specific horsepower increase simply by installing the manifold.

Results will depend on factors including:

• Engine Capacity
• Engine Condition
• Camshaft Specification
• Cylinder Head
• Intake System
• Exhaust Diameter & Configuration
• ECU Calibration
• Operating RPM Range
• Other Supporting Modifications

For more extensively modified naturally aspirated engines, appropriate ECU calibration may be beneficial to take full advantage of the complete combination.

Professional Installation Required

This manifold should be installed by a suitably qualified professional.

Before installation:

• Inspect Cylinder Head Threads
• Inspect Exhaust Studs & Nuts
• Use Suitable New Gaskets
• Check Exhaust System Alignment
• Ensure the Exhaust is Adequately Supported
• Check Clearance to Surrounding Components
• Check Clearance with Engine Movement
• Check for Exhaust Leaks After Installation

The manifold should not be used to support the weight of an incorrectly aligned or inadequately supported exhaust system.

Motorsport / Off-Road Use

This product is not intended for use on public highways.

It has been developed for off-road, motorsport and testing applications where removal of the original catalytic converter is permitted.

24-Month Warranty*

This manifold is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 24 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover physical impact, accident damage, misuse, incorrect installation, inadequate exhaust support, excessive stress caused by an incorrectly aligned exhaust system, modification, damage to surrounding components or failures resulting from engine or tuning faults.

The warranty applies to the manifold and supplied GizFab-manufactured components only and does not cover labour, removal/refitting costs, exhaust modifications, tuning, vehicle recovery or other consequential costs.
