40mm Performance Core

At the heart of the radiator is a 40mm thick aluminium core, providing a larger cooling package than the standard factory-style radiator.

The increased core thickness provides greater potential for heat transfer, making it particularly useful on vehicles that experience increased thermal load through modifications or demanding use.

Actual coolant temperatures will still depend on the complete cooling system, including airflow, coolant circulation, thermostat operation, fan performance and engine specification.

Aluminium provides excellent thermal conductivity while keeping the radiator relatively lightweight, making it an ideal material for performance cooling applications.

Direct K11 Replacement

The radiator has been designed to install into the original Nissan Micra K11 radiator location.

No cutting, fabrication or additional mounting brackets are required for a standard installation.

This makes it suitable both as an upgrade to a healthy standard cooling system and as part of a more extensively modified K11 build.

Compatible with the Factory Cooling Fan

The radiator incorporates mounting provisions for the original K11 electric cooling fan, allowing the factory fan arrangement to be retained.

This avoids the need to automatically convert to a universal aftermarket fan simply because the radiator has been upgraded.

As with any older vehicle, we recommend checking the condition and operation of the original fan, fan motor, wiring, relays and temperature control system during installation.

These allow the radiator to be configured appropriately for automatic transmission applications.

On manual vehicles, these connections are simply not required.

Engine Compatibility

Designed for the Nissan Micra K11 platform and suitable for the standard K11 engine range.

It can also be useful for modified and converted K11s, although vehicles with non-standard engine conversions, turbocharger installations or extensively modified cooling systems should have hose routing and surrounding clearances checked before installation.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, coolant, hoses, hose clamps, thermostat, radiator cap, cooling fan and other cooling system components are not included.

Why Upgrade the K11 Radiator?

An upgraded radiator can become particularly beneficial as the amount of heat generated by the engine increases.

Performance modifications can increase thermal load, while sustained high-RPM track use can place considerably greater demands on the cooling system than normal road driving.

A larger aluminium radiator provides additional potential heat rejection capacity while retaining a simple factory-style installation.

However, a larger radiator cannot compensate for faults elsewhere in the cooling system.

Persistent overheating should always be properly diagnosed rather than assuming the original radiator is solely responsible.

Professional Installation Recommended

The cooling system should be allowed to cool completely before any work is carried out.

During installation we recommend inspecting:

• Thermostat
• Water Pump
• Cooling Fan
• Fan Wiring & Relays
• Radiator Mounts
• Coolant Condition
• Expansion/Overflow System
• Automatic Transmission Cooler Connections where applicable

After installation, the cooling system must be correctly filled and bled according to the vehicle's requirements.

Check thoroughly for coolant or transmission fluid leaks before operating the vehicle.

Modified Vehicle Considerations

On vehicles with engine conversions, turbocharger systems, custom exhaust manifolds or other substantial engine-bay modifications, additional attention should be given to clearance.

Ensure adequate clearance between the radiator and:

• Intercooler Pipework

• Cooling Fan

Adequate airflow through the radiator must also be maintained.

12-Month Warranty*

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover physical or accident damage, incorrect installation, incorrect coolant, corrosion caused by unsuitable coolant or contaminated cooling systems, excessive cooling-system pressure, freezing, overheating caused by another vehicle fault, damaged mounting points, incorrect automatic transmission connections or damage caused by surrounding modified components.

The warranty applies to the radiator and supplied components only and does not cover coolant, transmission fluid, labour, diagnostics, removal/refitting costs, engine damage or other consequential costs.
