K11 Nissan Micra GT1752 Turbo Kit

The GizFab GT1752 Turbo Kit is our complete, budget-friendly solution for transforming your K11 Micra into a genuinely quick and enjoyable turbocharged road or track car.

Designed around the proven GT1752 turbocharger, this kit delivers fast spool, excellent drivability and impressive performance whilst retaining the simplicity of an internally gated turbocharger. With fewer components than an external wastegate setup, installation is cleaner, quieter and perfect for those looking for a more OEM-style appearance.

Every kit is designed, developed and manufactured in-house before being test-fitted to our dedicated development Micra. Once fitment has been verified, the kit is removed, carefully packaged and shipped, ensuring the highest level of quality and consistency.

Most common questions are answered below.

Every turbo kit is assembled and test-fitted on our in-house development Micra before being shipped. This means there is no requirement to bring your vehicle to us unless you would like us to install the kit for you, or your vehicle is fitted with factory air conditioning.

What engines does this kit fit?

The kit is designed to fit:

  • 1.0L CG10DE
  • 1.3L CG13DE
  • 1.4L CGA3DE

Compatible with both Distributor and Coil Pack engine variants.

Which engine is best?

Our preferred engines are the earlier Distributor CG10DE and CG13DE.

These engines are generally considered to have slightly stronger ring lands and are mechanically simpler than the later coil pack engines.

That said, there is no substitute for displacement. The 1.3L and 1.4L engines naturally produce more torque, but the 1.0L remains the most popular option simply because they are easier and cheaper to source.

What power can I expect?

Power depends on:

  • Engine capacity
  • ECU calibration
  • Fuel quality
  • Boost pressure

As an example, our development setup produced the following using a deliberately conservative calibration designed for long-term engine reliability.

  • 145 HP @ 1.0 Bar (998cc Engine)
  • 158 HP @ 1.0 Bar (1275cc Engine)

With suitable supporting modifications, significantly higher figures are achievable.

Will this fit a car with Air Conditioning?

Mail-order kits: No.

Due to the limited space around the A/C compressor, these kits must be custom-built on the vehicle. Please contact us if you require an A/C-compatible installation.

Can I use the factory ECU?

No. Turbocharging significantly increases airflow, meaning the engine requires substantially more fuel and ignition control than the factory ECU can provide.

Attempting to run this kit on the standard ECU is likely to result in severe engine damage.

A standalone ECU is essential.

Which ECU do you recommend?

Our recommendation is the Haltech Elite 1500.

For Distributor-equipped engines, Haltech offer a plug-and-play harness that only requires two additional wires for the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. They also provide a suitable base map for the CG13DE.

Lower-cost alternatives such as the Elite 550 or Elite 750 are available, although these require full wiring into the factory loom.

There are many other capable ECUs available, but the Haltech Elite 1500 is the system we know, use and recommend.

What about fueling?

Yes—you will need larger injectors.

More air requires more fuel, so upgrading the fuel system is essential.

Coil Pack Engines

These use a top-feed fuel rail that accepts common 14 mm Bosch-style injectors.

We recommend Bosch 550cc injectors from the MK8 Civic Type R, together with modified injector stand-offs and replacement injector plugs.

Distributor Engines

These use side-feed injectors, which significantly limits upgrade options.

The most common solution is to modify a RWD SR20 fuel rail from vehicles such as the Nissan 180SX or 200SX. We previously offered this conversion, although it is no longer available.

Fuel Pump

Although not included, we strongly recommend fitting a new high-flow fuel pump.

Many original pumps are now over 20 years old. Once asked to supply more than double their original fuel flow, failures become increasingly common.

A failing fuel pump can quickly cause a lean condition, leading to catastrophic engine damage.

Is it difficult to install?

Installation is suitable for anyone with good mechanical knowledge and experience working on vehicles.

If you're not confident fitting the kit yourself, we recommend having it installed by a qualified mechanic, or alternatively, contact us for a quote for our Drive-In, Drive-Out installation service.
