Designed and manufactured by GizFab, our Nissan Micra K11 Billet Gear Linkage UJ replaces the original plastic-bushed universal joint within the K11 gear selector linkage.

Machined from billet aluminium and incorporating floating brass bushes, the assembly provides a more precise and durable connection within the gear linkage, helping reduce unwanted play and improve gear shift feel.

Replace the Factory Plastic-Bushed UJ

The original K11 gear linkage incorporates a universal joint with plastic bushings.

After decades of use, wear within the original joint and bushes can introduce unwanted movement into the gear linkage.

This can contribute to:

• Excessive Gear Lever Play

Our billet replacement removes the original plastic-bushed arrangement and replaces it with a more substantial billet aluminium UJ incorporating floating brass bushes.

Billet Aluminium Construction

The main UJ assembly is machined from billet aluminium, providing a strong, lightweight and accurately manufactured replacement for the original joint.

The component is finished with an anodised coating for additional surface protection and a high-quality finished appearance.

Floating Brass Bushings

Rather than using the original plastic bush arrangement, the GizFab UJ uses floating brass bushings at the joint.

These provide a more positive mechanical connection while still allowing the articulation required as the gear linkage operates.

The result is reduced unwanted compliance and a more direct connection between the gear lever and gearbox selector mechanism.

Improved Gear Shift Feel

Replacing a worn factory UJ can help remove unwanted play from the linkage and provide a tighter, more positive gear shift feel.

It is important to remember that this component only addresses play within the UJ itself.

Other worn components within the K11 gear linkage, gearbox selector mechanism, stabiliser assembly or engine mounts can also contribute to excessive gear lever movement or poor gear selection.

If significant play remains after installation, the remainder of the linkage should be inspected.

Nissan Micra K11 Fitment

For the Nissan Micra K11, this component is designed as a replacement for the original gear linkage UJ.

As with any component fitted to an older vehicle, inspect the surrounding linkage for wear, corrosion, damage or previous modifications before installation.

⚠️ Nissan Micra K10 Fitment Requires Modification

This UJ can also be fitted to Nissan Micra K10 models, but it is NOT a direct-fit installation.

The original K10 arrangement uses a compressed pin to secure the factory UJ to the shift linkage.

To install the GizFab billet UJ on a K10:

1. Grind off and remove the original compressed retaining pin.
2. Remove the factory UJ from the shift linkage.
3. Carefully drill the existing 6mm mounting hole out to 8mm.
4. Install the replacement UJ using a suitable M8 bolt and Nyloc nut in place of the original pin.

Modification of the original K10 gear linkage is therefore required.

This work should only be carried out by somebody competent to accurately drill and modify the linkage.

Once modified, the original compressed-pin arrangement cannot simply be reinstated without replacing or repairing the affected component.

Professional Installation Recommended

The gear linkage should be inspected during installation to ensure there are no additional worn or damaged components affecting operation.

Following installation:

• Check the UJ Articulates Freely
• Ensure All Fasteners are Secure
• Check for Interference Throughout Linkage Movement
• Select Every Gear with the Vehicle Stationary
• Confirm the Linkage Does Not Bind
• Recheck Hardware After an Initial Period of Use

Do not operate the vehicle if the linkage binds, fouls surrounding components or prevents any gear from being selected correctly.

12-Month Warranty*

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover normal wear, incorrect installation, inadequate lubrication or maintenance where required, modification of the UJ itself, excessive tightening, impact damage, misuse or damage resulting from worn, damaged or incorrectly modified surrounding gear linkage components.

For K10 installations, any modification required to the original gear linkage, including removal of the factory pin and drilling of the linkage, is the responsibility of the installer and is not covered by the product warranty.
