Nissan Micra K11 Underfloor Brace

Designed and manufactured by GizFab, our Nissan Micra K11 Underfloor Brace ties together and reinforces the rear mounting points of the front lower control arms, helping reduce unwanted chassis movement and providing a more rigid platform for the front suspension to operate from.

Designed specifically around the K11 chassis, the brace sits clear of the anti-roll bar and has been developed with sufficient clearance for both standard and aftermarket exhaust systems.

Unlike some low-mounted chassis braces, its position also makes it suitable for lowered K11s without unnecessarily sacrificing ground clearance.

What Does the Underfloor Brace Do?

The front lower control arms transfer significant suspension loads into the chassis during cornering, braking and changes of direction.

The rear mounting point of each control arm is attached independently to the vehicle's body structure.

Our Underfloor Brace creates an additional rigid connection between these mounting areas, helping reduce relative movement across the lower chassis.

By providing the suspension with a more stable mounting platform, the brace can help provide:

Designed Around the K11 Chassis

Ground clearance and component clearance were important considerations when designing the brace.

The Underfloor Brace has been designed to sit clear of the front anti-roll bar while also providing clearance for the exhaust system.

It is suitable for use with the standard exhaust system as well as aftermarket exhaust systems, provided the exhaust follows a sensible routing around the original underbody area.

Suitable for Lowered K11s

Underfloor bracing can sometimes become the lowest point underneath a modified vehicle, creating problems with speed bumps, kerbs and uneven surfaces.

Our K11 Underfloor Brace has been designed to remain tucked into the underside of the vehicle, making it suitable for use on lowered cars without unnecessarily reducing available ground clearance.

As with any substantially lowered vehicle, however, actual ground clearance will depend on ride height, wheel and tyre size, suspension setup and other components fitted underneath the vehicle.

Each brace reinforces a different area of the chassis rather than simply duplicating the function of another brace.

Powder-Coated Finish

The brace is supplied with a durable powder-coated finish to help protect the steel construction from the conditions encountered underneath the vehicle.

As an underbody component, some cosmetic deterioration and stone chipping should be expected over time, particularly on vehicles regularly used in wet or dirty conditions.

Any damage to the powder coating should be addressed to help prevent corrosion of the exposed steel underneath.

Fitting Hardware Included

The required fitting hardware is supplied with the brace.

Installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified technician.

Before installation, the lower control arm mounting points and surrounding chassis should be inspected for:

• Previous Chassis Repairs

The brace must not be used to pull damaged or incorrectly positioned mounting points back into alignment.

All hardware should be correctly tightened during installation and periodically inspected thereafter.

Aftermarket Exhaust Compatibility

The brace has been designed to provide clearance for standard and aftermarket exhaust systems.

However, due to the number of different exhaust systems, custom exhausts and engine conversions available for the K11, clearance cannot be guaranteed with every possible non-standard exhaust configuration.

Vehicles with heavily modified or unusually routed exhaust systems should be checked for adequate clearance during installation.

Important Safety Information

This product is a chassis reinforcement component and does not replace any original structural or suspension component.

Correct installation and secure mounting are essential.

As the brace is mounted underneath the vehicle, it should also be periodically inspected for damage resulting from road debris, grounding or impact.

12-Month Warranty*

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover normal cosmetic deterioration, stone chips, corrosion resulting from coating damage or inadequate maintenance, incorrect installation, modification, accident or impact damage, grounding damage, misuse or damage resulting from defective or damaged surrounding chassis or suspension components.
