Nissan Micra K11 Whiteline Front Control Arm Lower Inner Rear Bush Kit – Double Offset

The Whiteline Double Offset Front Control Arm Bush Kit is a performance-focused suspension upgrade for the Nissan Micra K11, designed to increase positive caster while replacing the compliant factory lower control arm rear bushes with Whiteline's synthetic elastomer bushes.

Unlike a conventional replacement bush which simply replaces the original component in the same position, the double-offset design alters the position of the control arm within the bush, providing a geometry change as well as an increase in bush stiffness.

The result is improved steering feedback, increased straight-line stability and improved dynamic camber behaviour during cornering.

What Does “Double Offset” Mean?

This isn't simply a polyurethane-style replacement for the original rubber bush.

The mounting position through the bush is deliberately offset from the centre.

When correctly installed, this changes the resting position of the lower control arm and alters the front suspension geometry to provide additional caster.

The double-offset configuration provides a more substantial geometry correction than a simple centred replacement bush, making it particularly useful for performance-focused suspension setups.

What Is Caster?

Caster describes the fore-and-aft inclination of the steering axis when viewed from the side of the vehicle.

Increasing positive caster can provide several useful handling characteristics, including:

That last point is particularly useful on a performance car.

Improved Dynamic Camber

This kit does not simply add a fixed amount of negative camber.

Instead, the increased caster changes the way camber develops as steering angle increases.

This is known as dynamic camber gain.

During cornering, the geometry can provide additional negative camber to the loaded outside front wheel, helping the tyre maintain a more effective contact patch.

For a front-wheel-drive performance car such as the K11, maintaining front tyre contact is particularly important because the front tyres are responsible for steering, braking and transmitting engine torque.

Synthetic Elastomer Bushes

The original control arm bushes are designed with comfort and isolation in mind.

As they age, the rubber can also soften, crack or deteriorate, allowing additional movement of the control arm under braking and cornering loads.

Installation

Professional installation is strongly recommended.

The orientation of an offset bush is critical.

Because the bush position is deliberately offset to alter suspension geometry, it must be installed in the correct orientation to achieve the intended caster change.

Incorrect orientation can result in unintended geometry changes or differences between the left and right sides of the vehicle.

Suitable equipment may also be required to remove the original bushes and correctly install the replacement components without damaging the control arms.

Wheel Alignment Required

A professional wheel alignment should be carried out following installation.

The installer should check the complete front suspension geometry after the bushes have been fitted.

This should include, where applicable:

• Toe
• Steering Wheel Position
• Left-to-Right Geometry
• Tyre Clearance
• Suspension Clearance

The vehicle should not simply be assumed to have correct geometry because the bushes have been installed.

Road & Track Use

The kit is suitable for road, fast-road and track-focused K11s.

Customers should be aware that replacing soft factory rubber bushes with more performance-focused synthetic elastomer components may transmit additional Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) into the chassis.

Some increase in steering feedback and road feel is an expected characteristic of the upgrade.

Whiteline products are supplied subject to the manufacturer's applicable warranty terms and conditions.

Normal wear or deterioration, incorrect installation or orientation, inadequate lubrication where required, modification, accident or impact damage, misuse and damage caused by defective surrounding suspension components are not considered manufacturing defects.

Changes in steering weight, feedback or NVH resulting from the geometry change and increased bush stiffness are inherent characteristics of the product and are not considered defects.
