Nissan Micra K11 Turbo Camshafts - Newman Cams
Developed specifically for turbocharged Nissan Micra K11 CG engines, our Newman Cams Turbo Camshafts provide a purpose-designed camshaft upgrade for forced-induction applications.
Available exclusively from GizFab, these camshafts are machined from brand-new billet cores rather than requiring your original camshafts to be supplied for re-profiling.
Available in Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 specifications, allowing the camshaft profile to be selected around the intended engine specification, turbocharger and use of the vehicle.
Stage 1 - K11 Micra Turbo Camshaft Spec Sheet
Stage 2 - K11 Micra Turbo Camshaft Spec Sheet
Stage 3 - K11 Micra Turbo Camshaft Spec Sheet
The advertised price is for a PAIR of camshafts - one Inlet and one Exhaust.

Purpose-Designed for Turbo Applications
Camshaft requirements for a turbocharged engine can be very different from those of a naturally aspirated engine.
Simply fitting the most aggressive naturally aspirated camshaft available does not necessarily produce the best results on a forced-induction engine.
Valve timing, lift, duration and overlap all influence how the engine breathes and can have a significant effect on:
- Turbocharger Response
- Boost Characteristics
- Low & Mid-Range Torque
- High-RPM Airflow
- Power Delivery
- Idle Quality
- Overall Driveability
These Newman turbo camshafts provide dedicated options for customers building turbocharged CG engines rather than relying on a naturally aspirated performance profile.
Stage 1
The Stage 1 option is the mildest turbo profile in the range.
Best suited to more road-focused turbocharged builds where maintaining good driveability, response and a broad usable powerband is important.
An ideal choice for customers looking for an uprated turbo camshaft without moving immediately to a more aggressive competition-focused setup.
Stage 2
The Stage 2 option provides the middle ground in the range.
Designed for more developed turbocharged engines where increased performance is required while retaining a reasonably broad and usable power delivery.
Stage 2 is suited to higher-performance road cars, fast-road builds and track-focused K11s where the engine specification can take advantage of the additional camshaft performance.
Stage 3
The Stage 3 option is the most aggressive turbo camshaft specification available in the range.
Intended for serious high-performance and competition engine builds where maximum performance takes priority over factory-style driveability and refinement.
Supporting engine modifications and careful ECU calibration become increasingly important as camshaft specification becomes more aggressive.
Which Stage Should I Choose?
The highest stage number is not automatically the best option.
Camshafts should be selected around the complete engine package rather than simply choosing the most aggressive profile available.
Factors to consider include:
- Engine Capacity
- Turbocharger Size
- Intended Boost Pressure
- Cylinder Head Specification
- Compression Ratio
- Exhaust Manifold
- Intake System
- Fuel System
- ECU & Engine Management
- Intended RPM Range
- Road or Competition Use
A correctly selected Stage 1 camshaft can potentially provide a more enjoyable and responsive engine than an unnecessarily aggressive Stage 3 profile on a relatively mild turbo setup.
Likewise, a heavily developed competition engine may benefit from the additional capability of the more aggressive profiles.
New Billet Cores
Unlike our reprofiled camshaft options, these turbo camshafts are manufactured from new billet cores.
This means:
- No Donor Camshafts Required
- No Exchange Service
- No Waiting for Your Existing Cams to be Inspected
- Fresh Camshaft Cores for Every Set
Simply select the required stage for your engine specification.
Price Is for a PAIR
Quantity 1 = 2 Camshafts
Each set contains:
1x Inlet Camshaft
1x Exhaust Camshaft
These are supplied as a matched inlet and exhaust camshaft package.
Professional Installation Required
Professional installation is strongly recommended.
Performance camshafts are not a simple fit-and-forget modification.
The installer is responsible for checking the complete valvetrain installation, including all applicable:
- Valve Clearances
- Camshaft Timing
- Valve-to-Piston Clearance
- Valvetrain Condition
- Timing Components
- Lubrication
- Associated Engine Clearances
The appropriate Newman Cams specification and installation data for the selected camshaft stage should be followed during assembly.
Do not assume that factory clearances or settings remain appropriate after fitting performance camshafts.
ECU Calibration Required
The ECU must be professionally calibrated to suit the camshafts and complete turbocharged engine specification.
Changing camshaft profiles alters the airflow characteristics of the engine and therefore affects the calibration required for fuel and ignition.
This is particularly important on a turbocharged engine where boost pressure, ignition timing, fuelling and cylinder pressure must all be correctly controlled.
We do not recommend fitting performance turbo camshafts and operating the vehicle on an existing calibration without having the setup checked by a competent engine tuner.
Supporting Modifications
Depending on the selected camshaft stage, intended engine speed and overall engine specification, additional valvetrain or engine modifications may be required.
It is the engine builder's responsibility to determine whether the existing:
- Valve Springs
- Retainers
- Followers
- Valves
- Pistons
- Connecting Rods
- Timing Components
are suitable for the intended operating conditions.
The camshaft's potential operating range should never be interpreted as confirmation that a standard CG engine is safe to operate at that engine speed.
Maximum safe RPM is determined by the complete engine and valvetrain specification.
Important Turbo Engine Notice
Performance camshafts are only one component within a turbocharged engine package.
Power capability cannot be determined from camshaft choice alone.
Turbocharger selection, boost pressure, engine condition, compression ratio, fuel quality, fuelling, ignition timing, charge temperature and ECU calibration all have a major influence on engine performance and reliability.
No specific horsepower increase is guaranteed by fitting these camshafts.
Warranty
These camshafts are supplied subject to the applicable Newman Cams warranty terms and conditions.
Warranty does not cover damage resulting from incorrect installation, incorrect valve clearances, incorrect cam timing, inadequate lubrication, valvetrain interference, excessive engine speed, unsuitable supporting components, incorrect ECU calibration, engine failure or misuse.
As these components are intended for modified and turbocharged engines, correct installation and setup by an experienced engine builder is essential.
