Why This Kit?

Factory K11 rear disc axles are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Even when you do find one, the original Nissan rear calipers and carriers are unique to the K11 and were never shared with another Nissan model. As a result, replacement calipers, carriers and service parts have become increasingly expensive—and in many cases, impossible to source.

Our conversion eliminates that problem by using a readily available VAG Group rear caliper and carrier, giving you:

What Axle Is Required?

This kit is designed specifically for the standard K11 drum brake rear axle.

It converts your existing drum brake axle to accept a rear disc and caliper assembly.

This kit is NOT compatible with factory K11 rear disc axles.

What Calipers Are Required?

This conversion has been designed around commonly available VAG Group rear calipers and carriers, making replacement parts easy to source and inexpensive to maintain.

The conversion uses OE replacement K11 Nissan Micra rear brake discs together with brake pads to suit the VAG calipers listed above.

Will This Work With Other Calipers?

No.

This conversion has been engineered specifically around the calipers, carriers and brake discs listed above.

Alternative calipers, carriers or disc combinations are not compatible with these brackets.

Handbrake Cable Information

An optional handbrake cable upgrade is available when purchasing any of our conversion kits.

For customers sourcing components separately, please note that neither the original K11 drum handbrake cable nor the factory K11 disc cable is compatible with this conversion.

The required cable is effectively a hybrid design, combining the Micra chassis fittings with the VAG caliper fittings.

If you choose not to purchase our optional cables, suitable custom cables will need to be manufactured.

Wheel Clearance

A minimum 14-inch wheel is recommended.

From our own testing:

• Every 13-inch wheel we have physically tested has fouled the caliper.
• Multiple 14-inch wheels have been successfully fitted.

However, due to the huge variety of wheel designs, offsets and spoke profiles available, we cannot guarantee clearance on every 14-inch wheel.

Depending on your wheel design, wheel spacers may be required to provide sufficient clearance between the wheel and caliper.

Absolutely. This conversion has been designed, tested and raced on our own 450hp Time Attack K11 Micra, making it equally at home on the road, at track days or in competitive motorsport.
