Upgrade your Nissan Micra K11 braking system with MTEC Performance Front Brake Discs, available in a choice of performance disc styles and with options for both Solid and Vented K11 front brake setups.

Whether you're simply replacing worn original discs or looking for a more performance-focused braking setup, MTEC offers a choice of Drilled, Grooved, Drilled & Grooved, Dimpled & Grooved and C-Hook disc patterns.

All brake discs are supplied as a PAIR.

⚠️ IMPORTANT - Solid & Vented Options Available

The Nissan Micra K11 was fitted with different front brake configurations.

We offer two different MTEC disc specifications:

SOLID - MTEC339
234mm Diameter x 12mm Thickness

VENTED - MTEC1135
238mm Diameter x 18mm Thickness

These are NOT interchangeable without the appropriate braking hardware.

Please confirm whether your vehicle is currently fitted with the 234mm solid or 238mm vented braking setup before ordering.

This is particularly important on older K11s, as brake components may have been upgraded or changed during the vehicle's lifetime. Do not rely solely on registration year or engine size where the vehicle's history is unknown.

MTEC Performance discs are available in five different surface configurations, allowing you to choose the appearance and characteristics best suited to your vehicle.

Drilled

A traditional performance appearance with drilled holes across the friction surface.

Grooved

Machined grooves across the braking surface provide a performance-focused appearance and can help maintain interaction between the pad and disc surface.

Drilled & Grooved

Combines both drilled holes and machined grooves for one of the most distinctive performance brake disc designs.

Dimpled & Grooved

Uses surface dimples rather than holes drilled completely through the disc, combined with machined grooves.

C-Hook

A distinctive curved groove pattern offering a motorsport-inspired appearance and an alternative to conventional straight-grooved discs.

Optional Protective Coating

An optional protective coating is available to help keep the non-friction areas of the brake discs looking cleaner for longer.

Brake discs are naturally exposed to water, road salt, brake dust and significant temperature changes, meaning untreated areas can quickly develop surface corrosion.

The coated option helps protect areas such as the disc bell and outer edges, particularly noticeable behind open-design alloy wheels.

Please note: Any coating present on the actual braking surface will be removed naturally by the brake pads during the initial bedding-in process. This is normal.

Solid vs Vented - Which Do I Need?

This option should be selected according to the braking system already fitted to your vehicle, rather than simply choosing vented because it sounds like an upgrade.

The 234 x 12mm Solid disc is designed for K11s using the corresponding solid-disc brake setup.

The 238 x 18mm Vented disc is designed for K11s using the larger vented-disc brake setup.

The vented disc is substantially thicker and requires the appropriate compatible caliper/carrier arrangement.

If your K11 currently uses 234mm solid discs, you cannot simply install the 238mm vented discs without the corresponding compatible braking components.

If you're unsure, we strongly recommend measuring the discs currently fitted to your vehicle before ordering.

Performance Brake Pads

For best results, we recommend fitting new brake pads when installing new brake discs.

The brake pad compound should be selected according to how the vehicle is used. A road-driven Micra has very different braking requirements from a competition car operating repeatedly at high brake temperatures.

Brake discs alone cannot compensate for unsuitable pads, deteriorated brake fluid, seized calipers or other problems within the braking system.

Bedding-In

New brake discs and pads require an appropriate bedding-in period.

During the initial bedding process, repeated heavy braking and prolonged stationary application of the brakes immediately following high-temperature stops should be avoided.

Correct bedding helps establish an even transfer layer between the brake pad and disc and can contribute to consistent braking performance and disc life.

Always follow the brake pad manufacturer's bedding procedure where one is provided.

Professional Installation Recommended

Brakes are a safety-critical vehicle system.

Professional installation by a suitably qualified technician is strongly recommended.

Before fitting, the hub mounting face should be thoroughly cleaned and checked for corrosion or contamination that could prevent the disc from sitting correctly.

The installer should also inspect the:

• Wheel Bearings
• Brake Fluid
• Associated Mounting Hardware

Excessive hub runout, contamination or incorrectly installed components can result in brake vibration or uneven disc wear.

Warranty

MTEC brake discs are supplied subject to the manufacturer's applicable warranty terms and conditions.

Brake discs are service and wear components. Normal friction wear, corrosion associated with use or storage, incorrect bedding-in, overheating, motorsport use, contamination, damage caused by worn or seized braking components and incorrect installation are not considered manufacturing defects.

Any protective coating applied to the friction surface is expected to wear away during initial use and this is not considered a defect.
