Universal Time Attack Bonnet Vents – Pair

Our Universal Time Attack Bonnet Vents are designed to help evacuate hot air and high-pressure air from the engine bay, providing a functional ventilation solution for track, competition and high-performance vehicles.

As air enters the front of the vehicle and passes through the radiator and engine bay, pressure can build beneath the bonnet. Correctly positioned bonnet vents provide an additional exit path for this air, helping encourage airflow through the engine bay and allowing heat to escape.

Supplied as a left-hand and right-hand pair, each vent is manufactured from laser-cut aluminium and includes a matching support bezel for installation underneath the bonnet panel.

Functional Engine Bay Ventilation

These vents aren't simply designed as a cosmetic addition.

During driving, air entering through the front of the vehicle passes through components such as the radiator before entering the engine bay. Without an effective escape path, an area of relatively high pressure can develop beneath the bonnet.

Correctly positioned bonnet vents can provide an additional route for this air to escape.

This can help encourage airflow through the radiator and engine bay while allowing accumulated heat to escape through the bonnet vents.

The actual effectiveness will depend heavily on the vehicle, vent positioning, aerodynamics, engine bay layout, vehicle speed and other modifications.

Adjustable Vent Fins

The individual aluminium fins can be carefully adjusted by hand, allowing their angle to be altered to suit the installation and desired appearance.

As aluminium can fatigue if repeatedly bent backwards and forwards, we recommend setting the desired angle during installation and avoiding unnecessary repeated adjustment.

Underside Support Bezels Included

Each vent is supplied with a matching laser-cut aluminium support bezel designed to sit underneath the bonnet panel.

This creates a sandwich-style installation, helping reinforce the surrounding bonnet material and providing a cleaner and more secure mounting arrangement than installing the upper vent panel alone.

4mm Pilot Mounting Holes

The vents and support bezels are supplied with 4mm pilot holes, allowing the installer to choose their preferred method of attachment.

They can be secured using suitable rivets, rivnuts, bolts or other appropriate fasteners depending on the installation.

Fasteners are not included.

Universal Fitment – Cutting Required

These are a universal motorsport component and are not designed as a direct-fit application for any specific vehicle.

Installation requires the bonnet to be cut and drilled.

The installer is responsible for determining the appropriate vent position, checking clearance underneath the bonnet and ensuring that no structural, mechanical, electrical or other components will be damaged during installation.

Particular consideration should also be given to the potential for water ingress through the vents and the location of sensitive electrical or engine components beneath them.

Professional installation is strongly recommended.

Finish

The vents are supplied in a raw aluminium finish only.

This allows them to be installed as supplied or finished by the customer to suit their vehicle.

As raw aluminium can develop surface oxidation and cosmetic changes when exposed to the elements, customers wanting a consistent long-term appearance may wish to apply a suitable protective finish.

12-Month Warranty*

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover cosmetic changes to the raw aluminium finish, damage caused during installation, incorrect positioning, modification, over-bending or repeated adjustment of the vent fins, physical or impact damage, misuse or other external causes.

As installation requires permanent modification of the vehicle's bonnet, GizFab Motorsport Developments accepts no responsibility for damage to the bonnet or vehicle resulting from incorrect installation, cutting, drilling or positioning of the vents.
