Protect Your Splitter

Front splitters tend to occupy a rather unfortunate position on performance and competition cars:

As close to the ground as you can realistically get them.

Eventually, something is going to make contact.

The skid blocks provide a replaceable contact point underneath the splitter, helping prevent the splitter material itself from being the first thing to meet the ground.

They're particularly useful for low vehicles where splitter contact can occur during heavy compression, changes in track elevation, loading onto trailers or simply encountering an unexpectedly enthusiastic bump in the road.

Yes. They do.

When the titanium contacts a suitable abrasive road or track surface, it can produce the distinctive bright sparks associated with titanium skid components.

Obviously, the primary purpose of the blocks is to protect the splitter.

The sparks are just a happy side effect.

Mounting hardware is not included unless otherwise stated.

As this is a universal product, the installer is responsible for determining the appropriate mounting position and ensuring the splitter structure is sufficiently strong to support the blocks and withstand contact loads.

Installation

Professional installation is recommended.

The blocks should be positioned at the most appropriate potential contact points underneath the splitter and securely mounted to a sufficiently reinforced area.

Simply attaching skid blocks to a thin or unsupported splitter panel may transfer impact loads into the splitter and cause damage rather than prevent it.

Important Safety Notice

These skid blocks are designed primarily for motorsport and competition applications.

Sparks are an inherent characteristic of titanium contacting certain abrasive surfaces and should not be deliberately generated in environments where sparks could create a fire or safety hazard.

The product should not be used in areas where contact could occur near fuel, flammable liquids, dry combustible material or other ignition-sensitive environments.

12-Month Warranty*

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

Skid blocks are sacrificial wear components.

Surface abrasion, scratching, gouging, discolouration, material loss and general wear resulting from contact with the road, track, kerbs or other surfaces are expected characteristics of the product and are not considered manufacturing defects.

The warranty does not cover normal wear, impact damage, incorrect installation, inadequate mounting or splitter reinforcement, misuse, modification or damage to the vehicle or splitter resulting from contact with another surface.
