BC Racing V1 Series

The BC Racing V1 Series uses a large 44mm diameter piston housed within a 50mm diameter damper body.

The larger damper body allows for increased oil capacity within the damper.

As suspension operates, movement through the damper generates heat within the oil. Because damper oil viscosity changes with temperature, excessive heat can alter damping behaviour.

The increased oil capacity of the V1 damper design helps manage operating temperatures and maintain more consistent damper characteristics during demanding use.

4kg/mm Front & 6kg/mm Rear Spring Rates

This K12 kit is supplied with:

The spring rates have a significant influence on how the vehicle responds to bumps, braking, cornering and weight transfer.

Compared with a standard road suspension setup, coilovers will generally provide a firmer and more direct driving experience, particularly when combined with a reduced ride height.

Adjustable Ride Height

One of the major advantages of converting to coilovers is the ability to adjust the vehicle's ride height.

The VA configuration is supplied with aluminium pillowball front top mounts with camber adjustment where the vehicle application permits.

Pillowball mounts reduce the compliance found in conventional rubber top mounts, providing a more direct connection between the suspension and chassis.

This can improve steering and suspension feedback, although increased mechanical noise and vibration may also be transmitted into the vehicle.

Where camber adjustment is available through the top mount, it provides an additional method of fine-tuning front suspension geometry.

Rear Top Mounts

Depending on the specific K12 suspension arrangement, the kit may be supplied with aluminium rear top mounts with rubber centres or without rear top mounts, in accordance with BC Racing's application specification.
