Why Use an ECU Adapter?

Installing standalone engine management traditionally means either modifying the original engine loom or replacing significant portions of the factory wiring.

Our adapter takes a cleaner approach.

The custom PCB connects to the original K11 Coilpack ECU connector, breaking the required circuits out into a sub-harness that can then be integrated with your chosen standalone ECU.

This allows the factory engine loom to remain substantially intact while providing the installer with a much more convenient interface for the new engine management system.

One of the biggest advantages of the adapter is that it reduces the need to cut and permanently modify the original Nissan wiring loom.

Final compatibility will depend on the capabilities, inputs, outputs and wiring requirements of the ECU being installed.

⚠️ THIS IS NOT AN ECU

This product is an ECU adapter board and sub-harness only.

It does NOT contain standalone engine management electronics and cannot control the engine by itself.

A suitable aftermarket ECU must be purchased separately.

⚠️ NOT A UNIVERSAL PLUG-AND-PLAY ECU CONVERSION

Although the adapter connects to the factory K11 ECU loom, the opposite end must still be correctly integrated with the aftermarket ECU being used.

This adapter is specifically designed around the ECU connector and wiring arrangement used by the K11 Coilpack engine management system.

⚠️ NOT FOR DISTRIBUTOR / DIZZY K11s

The earlier Distributor/Dizzy K11 uses a different ECU and wiring arrangement.

Do not purchase this Coilpack adapter for a Distributor/Dizzy K11.

If the vehicle has undergone an engine or wiring loom conversion during its lifetime, compatibility should be determined from the actual ECU connector and loom fitted to the vehicle, rather than registration year alone.

⚠️ BASE MAPS & TUNING SUPPORT NOT INCLUDED

This product is intended for customers or installers who are capable of installing and configuring their chosen standalone ECU system.

No base map, calibration file or tuning support is included with the adapter.

The engine must not be operated under load without appropriate ECU configuration and calibration.

Incorrect trigger configuration, ignition timing, fuelling or other ECU settings can result in severe engine damage.

Professional Installation Recommended

Standalone engine management installation should be carried out by somebody experienced with automotive electrical systems and aftermarket ECU configuration.

Before attempting to start the engine, the installer should verify all relevant circuits against the vehicle and ECU requirements.

Never assume wire function based solely on colour. Verify circuits and pin assignments before connecting the standalone ECU.

ECU Calibration Required

Once installation is complete, the ECU must be correctly configured and professionally calibrated for the individual engine.

An ECU adapter does not provide additional horsepower by itself.

It simply provides the wiring interface required to install engine management capable of controlling a modified engine correctly.

Motorsport / Modified Vehicle Use

This product is intended primarily for modified vehicle, engine conversion and motorsport applications.

The purchaser and installer are responsible for ensuring the completed installation and vehicle comply with any regulations applicable to its intended use.

12-Month Warranty*

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover incorrect wiring, incorrect ECU configuration, reverse polarity, short circuits, excessive voltage/current, water ingress, modification of the PCB, incorrect installation, engine damage, tuning/calibration errors or failure of third-party ECUs, sensors or electrical components.

The warranty applies to the supplied GizFab adapter PCB and sub-harness only. It does not cover aftermarket ECUs, engines, tuning, labour, diagnostics, removal/refitting costs or consequential damage.
