Nissan Micra K10 Rear X-Brace

Designed and manufactured by GizFab, our Nissan Micra K10 Rear X-Brace is designed to increase rear chassis rigidity by linking multiple mounting points across the rear of the vehicle.

The four-bar design links the upper seat belt mounting points and rear strut towers to the opposing upper seat belt mounting points, creating a triangulated X-brace across the rear of the K10.

The brace can be installed with or without the original rear seats, making it suitable for everything from modified road-based builds through to stripped-out track cars.

Triangulated Rear Chassis Bracing

Rather than simply connecting the two rear strut towers with a conventional straight brace, the K10 X-Brace uses four individual bars to triangulate multiple points across the rear of the vehicle.

The brace links the upper seat belt mounting points and strut tower areas across opposing sides of the vehicle.

This triangulation helps reduce unwanted movement and flex between these areas of the bodyshell, providing a more rigid platform for the suspension to operate from.

On an older chassis such as the K10, additional bracing can be particularly beneficial on vehicles fitted with uprated suspension, stiffer springs, performance tyres or other handling modifications.

With or Without Rear Seats

The X-Brace has been designed so that it can be installed with or without the original rear seats fitted.

When retaining the rear seats, the orientation of the upper mounting brackets can be changed by simply rotating the brackets 180 degrees during installation.

This allows the same brace assembly to accommodate different interior configurations without requiring separate versions.

Correct bracket orientation should be confirmed during installation before all hardware is fully tightened.

Four-Bar Construction

The complete brace consists of four individual bars and the associated mounting brackets.

Once assembled, the bars create the distinctive X-shaped triangulated structure across the rear of the vehicle.

All brace components are supplied exclusively in our dark metallic grey powder-coated finish.

Stainless Steel Hardware Included

The kit is supplied with the required:

• Stainless Steel Washers
• Mounting Brackets

This provides the main hardware required to assemble and install the brace.

Installation

The brace is designed as a bolt-in chassis upgrade using the specified mounting locations on the vehicle.

We recommend loosely assembling the complete brace before progressively tightening the mounting hardware. This allows all components to correctly locate before the assembly is secured.

Do not attempt to force the brace into position by excessively tightening individual bolts.

As the K10 is now an older vehicle, the condition of the mounting areas should be carefully inspected before installation.

Do not install the brace to mounting points showing significant corrosion, cracking, previous accident damage or inadequate repairs.

Where there is any doubt regarding the structural condition of the vehicle, it should be inspected by a suitably qualified professional before installation.

It must NOT be considered or used as:

• A Roll Cage
• A Roll-Over Protection System
• A Harness Bar
• A Seat Belt Mount
• A Harness Mounting Point
• A Safety Restraint Mount
• A Structural Safety Device
• A Mounting Point for Any Other Safety Equipment

DO NOT ATTACH RACING HARNESSES, SEAT BELTS OR OTHER OCCUPANT RESTRAINT EQUIPMENT TO ANY PART OF THE X-BRACE.

Although the brace utilises existing seat belt mounting areas as part of its installation, this does not mean that the brace itself is suitable for carrying occupant restraint loads.

Any motorsport harness or safety equipment must be installed using appropriately designed and approved mounting points in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's instructions and the regulations applicable to the vehicle's intended use.

Rear Seat Use

Although the brace can be physically installed while retaining the rear seats, the vehicle owner and installer remain responsible for ensuring that its installation does not interfere with the safe operation of the original seating, seat belts, interior trim or other safety equipment.

All original safety equipment must remain correctly installed and functional where required.

12-Month Warranty*

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover cosmetic deterioration, corrosion resulting from coating damage or inadequate maintenance, incorrect installation, modification, accident or impact damage, misuse, installation to damaged or corroded mounting points or use of the brace as a harness, seat belt, safety equipment or restraint mounting point.

This product is a chassis bracing component only and provides no certified roll-over or occupant protection.
