Nissan Micra K10 Rear Upper Brace

Designed and manufactured by GizFab, our Nissan Micra K10 Rear Upper Brace is designed to increase rigidity across the rear of the vehicle by linking the rear upper shock absorber mounting points.

Featuring an all-steel construction with separate adjustable footplates, the brace provides a solid connection across the rear of the chassis while retaining the convenience of a removable centre cross bar.

The main cross bar can be easily removed without disturbing the footplates, making it particularly useful where occasional access to the rear of the vehicle is required.

Rear Chassis Bracing

The rear upper brace links the upper shock absorber mounting areas across the vehicle, helping reduce unwanted movement and flex between the two sides of the rear chassis.

Increasing rigidity between suspension mounting areas provides a more stable platform for the suspension to operate from.

This can be particularly beneficial on K10s fitted with uprated suspension, stiffer spring and damper combinations, performance tyres or other handling modifications.

As with any chassis brace, the effect will depend on the overall condition and specification of the individual vehicle.

Adjustable Footplates

Rather than using a completely fixed one-piece design, the K10 Rear Upper Brace features separate adjustable footplates.

These mount at the rear shock absorber mounting points and allow the cross bar to be correctly positioned during installation.

The complete assembly should initially be installed loosely before being correctly positioned and progressively tightened.

Do not attempt to compensate for incorrect positioning by excessively tightening or forcing the brace into place.

Easily Removable Cross Bar

One of the main advantages of the design is that the centre cross bar can be removed independently of the mounting footplates.

Once the footplates have been correctly installed at the shock absorber mounting points, they can remain permanently in position.

The cross bar can then be removed whenever additional access or load space is required and reinstalled afterwards without having to completely remove the brace mounting system.

All-Steel Construction

The brace and footplates feature an all-steel construction and are finished in our signature dark metallic grey powder coat.

Stainless steel hardware is supplied with the kit, providing a clean and corrosion-resistant finish to the assembly.

As with any component installed within an older vehicle, periodic inspection is recommended.

Installation

This product should be installed by a suitably qualified professional.

Before installation, the rear shock absorber mounting areas and surrounding chassis should be inspected for corrosion, cracking, previous accident damage or inadequate repairs.

This is particularly important on older vehicles such as the K10.

The brace should not be installed where the integrity of the original mounting points is questionable.

Once installed, ensure:

• The Footplates are Correctly Positioned
• The Cross Bar is Correctly Adjusted
• All Hardware is Correctly Tightened
• The Brace Does Not Interfere with Suspension Components
• The Brace Does Not Interfere with Interior or Safety Equipment

The brace should be installed without applying excessive preload to the chassis.

Do not attach harnesses, seat belts or other safety equipment to the brace.

The brace has not been designed, tested or certified to withstand occupant restraint or roll-over loads.

Motorsport & Off-Road Use

This product is intended for motorsport and off-road use and is not intended for use on public highways.

The purchaser and installer are responsible for ensuring the component is suitable for the vehicle, its specification and its intended use.

12-Month Warranty*

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover cosmetic deterioration, corrosion resulting from coating damage or inadequate maintenance, incorrect installation or adjustment, modification, accident or impact damage, misuse, installation to damaged or corroded mounting points or use of the brace as a harness, seat belt or safety equipment mounting point.

This product is a chassis bracing component only and provides no certified roll-over or occupant protection.
