Why Fit a Front Upper Brace?

During cornering, braking and changes of direction, loads from the front suspension are transferred into the vehicle through the upper suspension mounting points.

The K10 uses a conventional front strut arrangement, with separate left and right upper strut mounting points within the body shell.

Like any vehicle chassis, the body shell has a degree of flexibility. A front upper brace creates an additional connection between these suspension mounting areas, helping reduce relative movement between them.

Providing a more rigid platform for the suspension to operate from can help provide:

Installation

The brace is designed as a bolt-on chassis reinforcement component.

Installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified professional.

Given the age of the K10 chassis, we strongly recommend inspecting the suspension mounting areas and surrounding bodywork before installation.

The brace must not be used to pull damaged or incorrectly positioned suspension mounting points back into alignment.

All mounting hardware should be correctly tightened before the vehicle is used and periodically inspected thereafter.

Modified Vehicle Compatibility

The brace is designed around the Nissan Micra K10 platform.

However, due to the age of these vehicles and the number that have undergone engine conversions or other modifications, clearance cannot be guaranteed with every possible aftermarket configuration.

Vehicles with non-standard engines, intake systems, engine mounts or other substantial engine-bay modifications should be checked for adequate clearance during installation.

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover cosmetic deterioration, corrosion resulting from inadequate maintenance, incorrect installation, modification, accident or impact damage, misuse or damage resulting from defective or damaged surrounding chassis or suspension components.
