Why Upgrade to Braided Brake Hoses?

The original K10 braking system uses flexible rubber hoses between the vehicle's rigid brake pipes and moving brake components.

Rubber provides the flexibility required as the suspension and steering move, but flexible hoses can expand slightly as hydraulic pressure increases.

This expansion can contribute to a softer or more "spongy" brake pedal feel, particularly with older hoses or during repeated heavy braking.

HEL Performance braided brake hoses use a PTFE inner hose reinforced with high-tensile stainless steel braid.

The stainless braid helps resist expansion as hydraulic pressure increases, providing a more direct transfer of pedal input through the hydraulic braking system.
