THIS KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE A HARNESS TO DISABLE THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT.

This version is intended for applications where an additional airbag-light cancellation harness is not required, already present, or being dealt with separately.

If your vehicle requires a dedicated harness to prevent the airbag warning light remaining illuminated after removing the original steering wheel, this is not the correct kit unless you are providing the required solution separately.

Double-Drilled Bolt Pattern

HKB boss kits feature a double-drilled mounting pattern, providing compatibility with the two commonly used aftermarket steering wheel bolt patterns.

This allows fitment of many steering wheels from manufacturers including:

Compatibility should still be checked against the exact steering wheel being installed.

⚠️ Airbag Warning Light Harness NOT Included

This particular kit does not include an additional wiring harness or resistor arrangement for cancelling the airbag warning light.

If the vehicle's SRS system detects removal of the original driver's airbag, the airbag warning light may remain illuminated unless the vehicle already has the necessary arrangement or an appropriate solution is installed separately.

Please establish what your particular vehicle requires before ordering or removing the original steering wheel.

⚠️ Removal of the Factory Airbag

Where fitted to an airbag-equipped vehicle, replacing the original steering wheel with a conventional aftermarket steering wheel removes the driver's steering-wheel airbag.

A boss kit does not replace or replicate the safety function of the original airbag.

Any separate airbag-light cancellation device simply addresses the relevant electrical warning circuit. It does not provide equivalent occupant protection.

Professional Installation Recommended

Steering and SRS systems are safety-critical.

Installation should be carried out by somebody suitably experienced with automotive steering and SRS systems.

Following installation, verify:

• Steering Wheel is Correctly Centred
• Boss is Fully Engaged
• All Fasteners are Correctly Tightened
• Steering Rotates Freely from Lock to Lock
• Horn Operates Correctly
• Indicators Self-Cancel Correctly where applicable
• Wiring is Not Stretched, Pinched or Trapped
• No Unintended Steering or SRS Faults are Present

Removing or modifying an original airbag or other SRS component may affect the vehicle's road legality, inspection requirements, insurance and occupant protection.

Requirements vary between vehicles and jurisdictions. It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure the completed installation is suitable and compliant for its intended use.

This is a genuine HKB manufactured component and is supplied subject to the manufacturer's applicable warranty terms and conditions.

The warranty does not cover incorrect installation, fitment to an incompatible vehicle, modification, damaged steering-column components or damage caused during removal or installation of the original steering wheel.
