Honda Logo Adjustable Panhard Rod

Designed and manufactured by GizFab, our Honda Logo Adjustable Panhard Rod allows the rear axle to be correctly re-centred after lowering the vehicle.

Lowering a vehicle fitted with a fixed-length Panhard rod changes the resting angle of the rod. Because the Panhard rod travels through an arc as the suspension moves, reducing the ride height can cause the complete rear axle to shift laterally towards one side of the vehicle.

Our adjustable design allows the effective length of the Panhard rod to be altered, enabling the rear axle position to be corrected for the vehicle's new ride height.

Why Does Lowering Cause Axle Shift?

The Panhard rod is responsible for locating the rear axle laterally underneath the vehicle.

One end of the rod is attached to the chassis and the other to the axle. As the suspension moves vertically, the Panhard rod pivots through an arc rather than travelling directly up and down.

At the original ride height, the factory fixed-length rod is designed around the standard suspension position.

When the Honda Logo is lowered, the resting position and angle of the Panhard rod change. Because the original rod cannot change length to compensate, this can cause the complete rear axle to move laterally towards one side of the vehicle.

The further the suspension is moved away from its original ride height, the more noticeable this displacement can become.

Correct Your Rear Axle Position

An adjustable Panhard rod allows its effective length to be changed until the rear axle is correctly positioned underneath the chassis at the vehicle's new ride height.

An incorrectly centred rear axle can result in:

• Unequal Wheel-to-Arch Position
• Reduced Tyre Clearance on One Side
• Increased Risk of Tyre-to-Body Contact
• Unequal Suspension Clearance
• Visibly Offset Rear Wheel Position
• Compromised Rear Suspension Geometry

This becomes particularly important on significantly lowered Logos or vehicles running wider wheels and tyres where available clearance may already be limited.

Adjustable Design

The integrated threaded adjuster allows the effective length of the Panhard rod to be altered to suit the vehicle's actual ride height.

The adjuster is yellow zinc plated, providing enhanced corrosion resistance for a suspension component that is constantly exposed to moisture, road dirt and other contaminants.

Once the vehicle has been set to its final ride height and the suspension allowed to settle, the rod can be adjusted until the rear axle is correctly centred underneath the chassis.

Polyurethane Bushed

The Panhard rod is supplied with polyurethane bushes, providing more positive axle location than excessively soft or deteriorated original rubber bushes.

The reduced compliance helps keep the axle better controlled laterally while retaining some isolation compared with a completely solid mounting arrangement.

As with most uprated suspension bushes, some increase in noise, vibration or harshness may be noticeable compared with standard rubber components.

Dark Grey Metallic Powder-Coated Finish

Each Panhard rod is finished in our signature dark grey metallic powder coat, providing a durable and professional finish while helping protect the component from the underbody environment.

As with any suspension component, periodic cleaning and inspection are recommended.

Any damage to the protective coating should be addressed to help prevent corrosion of the exposed material underneath.

Supplied Assembled & Ready for Fitting

The Panhard rod is supplied fully assembled and ready for installation, with a fitting guide included.

Although supplied assembled, final adjustment must be carried out on the individual vehicle to correctly position the rear axle for its specific ride height and suspension setup.

Professional Installation & Adjustment Recommended

The vehicle should first be set to its final intended ride height and the suspension allowed to settle before adjustment.

The rear axle position should then be measured using appropriate chassis reference points.

The Panhard rod can then be adjusted until the axle is correctly centred underneath the vehicle.

It should not simply be adjusted according to how far each wheel sits inside or outside the wheel arch, as wheel offset, tyre dimensions, bodywork and manufacturing tolerances can produce misleading measurements.

Once adjustment is complete:

• Ensure Adequate Thread Engagement is Maintained
• Correctly Tighten All Locking Hardware
• Check Suspension & Tyre Clearances
• Check the Rod Throughout the Available Suspension Movement
• Recheck All Fasteners After a Short Period of Use

A suspension geometry check is recommended following installation, particularly where the ride height or other suspension components have also been changed.

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover normal bush wear, cosmetic deterioration, corrosion resulting from coating damage or inadequate maintenance, damaged or seized adjustment threads, incorrect installation or adjustment, insufficient thread engagement, modification, accident or impact damage, misuse or damage resulting from defective or damaged surrounding chassis or suspension components.
