Our Adjustable Panhard Rod is designed for selected 4WD Daihatsu models, providing a simple solution for correcting rear axle position after lowering the vehicle.

Lowering a vehicle with a fixed-length factory panhard rod changes the angle of the rod as the suspension settles at its new ride height. This can cause the rear axle to shift sideways, leaving the axle and rear wheels sitting off-centre relative to the body.

An adjustable panhard rod allows the rear axle position to be corrected at the vehicle's new ride height, making it an important suspension upgrade for lowered vehicles using this type of rear suspension arrangement.

Why Do I Need an Adjustable Panhard Rod?

The panhard rod controls the side-to-side position of the rear axle relative to the vehicle's body.

When the vehicle is lowered, the suspension's static position changes. Because the factory panhard rod is a fixed length and moves through an arc, this change in ride height can pull the rear axle towards one side of the vehicle.

Depending on the amount the vehicle has been lowered, this can result in one rear wheel sitting further towards the outside of the wheel arch while the opposite wheel sits further inward.

Our adjustable panhard rod allows its effective length to be altered so that the rear axle can be re-centred beneath the vehicle at its new ride height.

This is particularly important on significantly lowered vehicles and those running wider wheels or tighter wheel-to-arch clearances.

Polyurethane Bushed

The rod is supplied with polyurethane bushes, reducing unwanted movement compared with softer factory-style rubber bushes and providing a more positive connection between the rear axle and chassis.

This can provide more direct suspension feedback, although as with most polyurethane suspension components, a small increase in Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) may be noticeable compared with the original rubber-bushed component.

Supplied Ready to Fit

Each panhard rod is supplied fully assembled and ready for installation, with fitting and basic adjustment guidelines included.

For best results, the vehicle should be sitting at its final intended ride height before the panhard rod is adjusted and the rear axle position checked.

Professional installation and suspension setup are recommended.

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, deterioration of bushes through normal use, corrosion resulting from inadequate maintenance, physical or accident damage, misuse, incorrect installation, modification or damage resulting from incorrect adjustment.

As this is an underbody suspension component exposed to water, road salt and other contaminants during normal use, periodic inspection, cleaning and maintenance are recommended.
