A simple, affordable and effective workshop tool for accurately positioning SCH10 and SCH40 pipe elbows at repeatable angles ready for cutting.

Designed and 3D printed in-house by GizFab, the SCH Pipe Elbow Cutting Fixture allows you to securely position an elbow at your chosen angle before cutting it in a bandsaw, or simply use the fixture as a guide to accurately mark the elbow for cutting using your preferred method.

Accurate Elbow Cutting Made Simple

Cutting a pipe elbow accurately can be awkward.

Unlike straight tube, there isn't a convenient flat or straight surface to reference from, making it easy for the elbow to move or for the cut angle to end up slightly different from what was intended.

Our fixture provides a simple way of holding and indexing the elbow at a known angle, taking much of the guesswork out of the process.

Set your desired angle, secure the elbow and you're ready to cut or mark.

5-Degree Angle Adjustment

The fixture allows the elbow position to be selected in 5-degree increments.

A short section of 1.6mm welding filler rod is used as a simple stop/indexing pin.

Position the filler rod into the appropriate indexing location, rotate the elbow against the stop and the fitting is positioned at the selected angle.

It's intentionally simple.

No complicated adjustment mechanisms, digital gauges or expensive dedicated tooling. Just a quick and repeatable way of getting the elbow where you want it.

Bandsaw or Manual Cutting

Although primarily designed for use with a bandsaw, you aren't limited to one cutting method.

The fixture can also be used to accurately position the elbow so that a cut line can be marked around the component before removing it and cutting it using your preferred method.

This makes it useful even for workshops without a dedicated metal-cutting bandsaw.

3D Printed In-House

Each fixture is 3D printed in-house by GizFab.

The design has been developed to provide a surprisingly strong and durable workshop tool while keeping the cost significantly lower than a conventional machined fixture.

When correctly positioned and clamped, the fixture is robust enough for normal bandsaw use.

As a 3D-printed workshop tool, minor layer lines and cosmetic variations are normal and do not affect its intended function.

Important - Don't Over-Clamp

The fixture only needs to be clamped sufficiently to prevent movement while positioning and cutting the elbow.

Do not excessively tighten the bandsaw vice.

The purpose of the vice is to securely hold the assembly, not to crush the fixture.

Damage caused by excessive clamping force, crushing, incorrect positioning or misuse is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Cutting Safety

This is a positioning fixture only. It does not replace correct workshop practices or machine guarding.

Always ensure:

• The Elbow is Securely Positioned Before Cutting
• The Fixture is Correctly Supported
• The Bandsaw Blade Cannot Contact the Fixture
• The Workpiece Cannot Rotate During Cutting
• Machine Guards Remain Correctly Positioned
• Appropriate PPE is Used
• The Machine Manufacturer's Operating Instructions are Followed

Always check the selected angle and cutting position before starting the cut.

12-Month Warranty*

This product is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from purchase.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our discretion, where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

The warranty does not cover normal cosmetic wear, cutting or blade damage, heat damage, excessive clamping force, crushing, modification, incorrect use or damage caused by contact with cutting equipment.

This product is a workshop positioning aid. The operator remains responsible for verifying dimensions, angles and cutting positions before machining or cutting the workpiece.
